Implementing Best Practices Through Visual Storytelling
SPEAKER: Yair G. Rajwan is the director of Analytics Visualization at Visual Science Informatics, LLC. He has MSc and DSc degrees in computer science from George Washington University and an MSc in Health Sciences Informatics from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Rajwan provides ‘big data’ analytics capabilities and information visualization techniques enabling better engagement effectiveness, better decision-making collaboration, and better perspective on outcomes and impact.
PROGRAM: Visual Analytics is a scientific discipline for discovery and communication of meaningful insights on data. Dr. Rajwan will discuss the four core components of visual analytics methodology: Data Architecture, Data Analysis, Information Visualization, and Evaluation Methods; and illustrate with examples how information professionals can use visual analytics to provide comprehensive point of views, create actionable intelligence, and engage audience through effective visual communication.
