ENGINEERING LIBRARIAN (Tenure Track Faculty)

The Kennedy Library at California Polytechnic State University (Cal
Poly) in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California, is seeking an
innovative engineering librarian who enjoys working closely with
faculty to foster 21st century information skills in a
multidisciplinary “learn by doing” university environment.

As a member of the Cal Poly faculty and working in a team of seven
College Librarians, the Engineering Librarian will play a key role in
supporting the learning and research needs of over 5000 engineering
students and faculty at the College of Engineering (CENG) in a
selective, multidisciplinary polytechnic environment. Additional
responsibilities include:

•	providing instruction and developing instructional resources to
support College and campus learning outcomes;
•	developing and managing library information resources in engineering;
•	participating in new and ongoing projects involving digital
resources, web-based services, and other library initiatives.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in information
resources used in engineering disciplines and professions, enjoy
working closely with faculty and students, and will have demonstrated
skills in instruction as well as the use of technology to meet student
and faculty information needs. This position requires an MLS or
equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

This full time tenure-track position is available at the Senior
Assistant or Associate Librarian level, with an anticipated hiring
range of $57,000-$70,000 plus a generous benefits package.
Appointment rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications
