The deadline for early bird registration for the VRD 2005 Conference is
October 22, 2005. This is a good opportunity to receive a discounted rate
for the 2-day conference on November 14-15. Further reductions apply to
students, conference assistants, OCLC, and RUSA members. The online

Registration for the VRD 2005 pre-conference workshop on Sunday, November
13 from 1-5 PM is also available through the online registration form.
This year's pre-conference workshop,
"Marketing Strategies for Digital Reference Services: Practical
Approaches", will be presented by Pat Wagner of Pattern Research, Inc. For

Francisco Airport (site of the conference) at the reduced rate of $139
(plus tax) single/double occupancy. This special rate is available until
