Subject: EVENT: Ben Shneiderman at AARP, October 7

As part of its Older Wiser Wired initiative, AARP is
holding a series of events to ask questions, speculate
about possibilities, encourage new research, and share
results that may help make technology both easier and
more enjoyable to use as we grow older.

We're pleased to invite you to our next event on Tuesday,
October 7th, at 10:30AM at AARP. Join us for a discussion
with professor and author, Dr. Ben Shneiderman, about
universal usability, older adults, and web design.

Dr. Shneiderman is a Professor in the Department of
Computer Science and Founding Director (1983-2000) of
the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory at UMD. He is
the author of numerous texts, most recently the acclaimed
Leonardo's Laptop. He was made a Fellow of the ACM in 1997,
elected a Fellow of the American Association for the
Advancement of Science in 2001, and received the ACM CHI
Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.

THIS EVENT IS FREE, BUT SPACE IS LIMITED. For more
information or to register, please visit the event
