The School of Information Studies at The Florida State University invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant level.
Applicants must have an outstanding record of published research or
potential for productive scholarship and a record reflecting a strong
commitment to teaching.

Successful applicants will have a strong user-centered perspective and be
focused on design, content, transfer, or systems in one or more of the
following areas of information technology: data visualization, design, and
communication; data mining and management; networking, security,
information architecture, and content management.

Prior industry experience in any of the above areas of specialization is
considered a plus. A Ph.D. is required in Information
Science/Studies/Systems or a related area. Ongoing research and
publication are expected. Experience or ability to instruct online classes
is required.

Salary Range: Salary is competitive, commensurate with qualifications and
experience.
