US-MD- Electronic Resources Librarian and Research Assistant

Status:  Full Time, Employee

MEDTAP International provides health economic and outcomes research and
consultancy services to industry, health service and government clients
around the world.  MEDTAP scientists perform challenging work in a
stimulating collegial environment where everyone is dedicated to
conducting the highest quality research in the industry. MEDTAP
currently has an opening for a full-time library/electronic information
manager and research assistant.   This position is an opportunity to
manage information functions as well as to do research.

 

This individual will manage all functions providing electronic research
information; manage a small paper-based book and journal collection;
train and oversee a team of intermediaries who do searching; oversee
library presence on the corporate intranet

 

Seeking a candidate preferably with an MLS (or an MLS student near
completion of studies); interest and skills in providing electronic
services, and training end users on searching; science background, or
knowledge/experience using medical terminology; interest and experience
in doing health-related research.  This position demands a
detail-oriented person with excellent organization, analytical,
computer, oral and written skills. MEDTAP values a team-oriented
collaborative approach to its work. Candidate will have an opportunity
to work with leaders in the field of phamacoeconomics and health
outcomes research.
