Contexts and Perspectives on the Present: Conference on the History of
Scientific and Technical Information Systems 2002, Phildelphia Nov
16-17, 2002. 

A Reminder: 

The American Society for Information Science and Technology and the
Chemical Heritage Foundation present an opportunity to hear and to meet
pioneering figures,  such as Brian Vickery, Michael Lynch, John
Woolston, Michel Menou, and Jacques-Emil Dubois, in the recent history
of information science and the development of important information
systems and services. In addition a constellation of younger historians
and professionals will bring new perspectives to bear on the history of
this field.

When: 16-17 November, just before the annual meeting of ASIST
