Science and Humanities Library, UC San Diego

Will you soon be or are you already looking for your first job after
library school? Or are you ready for a career change? Are you curious about
what it would be like to "change lanes" and work in a different library
setting or a have a job with different responsibilities? Are you wondering
what is expected of today's librarians and what kinds of skills and
expertise that employers require that they did not require five years ago?
Are you hesitant to look for a job in a traditional library setting, or
conversely, are you reluctant to look for a job in a non-traditional arena?
Would you like to know about some unexpected places to find work in web
design, database design, systems, and digital library projects? If you
answered yes to any one of these questions, this program is for you! Our
speakers, who collectively have many years of diverse work experiences,
