In order to achieve the widest possible publicity, I would appreciate your
help in distributing this call for nominations to the ASIS&T discussion

Want to recognize a colleague who has promoted equality in the library
profession?  Wish to honor a peer or mentor who has made a scholarly
contribution in an area like pay equity or affirmative action?   The
American Library Association seeks your nomination for the ALA Equality
Award.  Donated by Scarecrow Press, Inc., a member of the Rowman &
Littlefield Publishing Group, the Equality Award is given annually to an
individual or group for outstanding contribution toward advancing equality
in our profession. The contribution may be sustained or it could be a
single outstanding accomplishment.  The deadline for receiving nominations
is December 31, 2002. (postmark date).  The nomination form along with
additional information about the Equality Award is available at:
