I have a client looking for a Lead UX Designer for a full time, on-site,
salaried position paying to 180k + benefits located in either San Francisco
or New York City. Local candidates preferred, but applicants interested in

Our client is looking for people who are inquisitive, humble, optimistic,
collaborative, empathetic and creative. They want people who can pursue
multiple paths equally, who love design but are not in love with their own
designs. All of their designers must be able to conceptualize innovative
designs, and create user experience specifications, workflows and mockups.
Provide expert evaluation of intangibles as well as develop well-crafted
design artifacts and specifications. They do not want gunslingers nor
designers that simply apply established patterns. They want a designer who
will dig in to understand the client's users, and deliver compelling designs
that focus on the business objectives. 

Responsibilities: 
. Drive the design for the client's core iOS and Android apps for table and
phone 
. Collaborate with Product Management, Business and Engineering to
conceptualize new products and improve existing solutions 
. Remotely work with the other members of the design team and the Product
Management organization to define and evolve the company's design language
for mobile 
. Create innovative design solutions to solve customer problems 
. Distill the essence of what makes our web solutions successful and
transfer those learning's into the mobile domain 
. Create user-experience specifications, mockups, prototypes 
. Transform and apply data gathered through analytics, usability evaluations
and market research to create meaningful design recommendations 
. Proactively learn about the company's business, culture and customer
segments 

Qualifications: 
. 5+ years of experience in user-experience design with a strong focus on
mobile solutions for the consumer market 
. Masters or Bachelors degree in Human Computer Interaction, Industrial
Design, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or related field required 
. Broad experience designing compelling consumer and eCom mobile apps, for
iOS and Android 
. Experience working closely with user researchers to understand users and
incorporate the discoveries as part of the creative process 
. Ability to remotely collaborate actively & effectively on
multidisciplinary teams 
. Experience applying a user-centered design process for eCommerce and/or
consumer solutions 
. Expert knowledge of user-experience best practices for mobile 
. Passion for bringing innovative new products to market 
. Excellent knowledge of emerging technologies and trends for tablet and
phone 
. Motivated, dynamic, creative and results-oriented 
. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment

. Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
. Experience working in an agile environment a plus
