Thanks, Will. Dave Snowden's talk was very interesting. It's worth watching.
I can now say "I'm a Chef!" (vs. recipe follower) and am very gratified to learn that there's merit in being 'over 45', because of my capacity for the synthesis of ideas.
However, I didn't agree that outcome-based targets are always gamed, nor that a company loses its values as soon as it publishes them. In fact, one of my interview questions (besides, "how do you know when you've done a good job?") is to ask how the company values are manifested in its activities.
