We are redesigning our user experience and I'm in the beginning throws of
creating a style guide for our new web site. Past style guides were limited
to screen graphics, tables, buttons, fonts, colors, page layout with some
creative direction/guidelines, etc. My inclination is to be more expansive
including brand positioning, corporate identity, extensive creative
direction, etc. (Users are no longer limited to designers and developers)

Has anyone created and enforced a style guide that is broader scope than
screen graphics? If so, how expansive was it? Did it add value to your
marketing, communications efforts?

Cheers
