Specifications are as follows:
Working with functional teams to understand the business model and goals,
and helping to define the strategy, content, structure , Interface /
Interaction Design with a primary focus on usability.
Defining site architecture and navigation that serves as a blueprint (for
the site), upon which all other aspects (e.g., features and functionality)
are built.
Creating wireframes/comps, site maps, schematics, process maps, mockups,
visual layouts, prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user
experience.
Documenting UI standards and interaction specifications.
Requirements:
UI design experience for web sites / Intranets / Portal / or relevant
software applications
Excellent and demonstrable web UI design skills, and ability to show
relevant work.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage work critical to project
timelines.
Working knowledge of various web-related technologies, including HTML and
CSS skills; XML and JavaScript a plus.
Process/task analysis and requirements definition experience.
Experience creating low-fidelity interaction prototypes, as well as those
that are realistic-looking.
Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides,
as well as create effective solutions within those guidelines.
Experience with current user-centered design methods, including contextual
inquiry, task analysis, cognitive walk-throughs, usability studies and user
workshops.
Experience with design tools like Photoshop and Visio.
Ability to communicate effectively through various formats (i.e., orally,
written, graphic design) with project stakeholders and team members, both
individually and in groups.
Must be self-motivated, deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and able to plan
and drive own tasks.
