- List of possible work activities
1.Metadata Controlled Vocabularies (MCV).
- What are the tradeoffs and best practices around
organization-dependent vs. sharable common controlled vocabularies?
- Are different taxonomies needed for internal vs. external
audience? If different taxonomies are used, then how should different
taxonomies be mapped to each other, and how should this mapping be
done
2. Metadata for People and Services (P&S) in the Large Organizations.
The focus is on metadata for people and services such as business
functions or processes, enterprise architectures, and enterprise
resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.
3. Metadata Tools for use in in the Large Organizations. The focus
is on applications and best practices around metadata tagging within
Microsoft & Adobe and any other applications.
4. Enterprise Architecture (EA) metadata in large organizations. The
focus is on:
- The role of metadata in the enterprise architecture,
- The business case for enterprise metadata standards and
practices, and gathering best practices, Success Stories and
strategies around enterprise architecture and metadata.
5. Application Profiles (AP) in large organizations. Focus is on
identifying and developing a generic application profile which can
than be adapted by corporations and modified to fit their specific
needs.
