Now this is Whirlpool, a company with a pretty good reputation, written up
in Fast Company, a publication with a long interest in design as business
strategy. And this is what we get. Depressing, ain't it? :-)

This is why I'm so maniacally opposed to playing by others' rules (the
accountants' for example). I don't know Chuck. Chuck may be a good man. But
I don't know if Chuck is using this ploy to do do what he otherwise would
anyway, or if he truly believes in this "numberly" approach to design. I
guess we're just going to have to "trust" Chuck. ;-)
