[Sigia-l] site redesign sales proposals

Ziya,

I can't say I understand what a "Euro thing" is. But I'll try to
answer your question anyway.

EUR 4000, which is the "standard" price for this service, works out
to about USD 5400 at current FOREX rates. This represents about 20
hours of senior consulting.

Here's how we use it:

We spend several hours in conference with the client, spend several
more reading whatever background material they can provide, spend
most of a day smashing their website, spend the next day formulating
our recommendations, and finally spend a couple of hours debriefing
with the client.

If you own a hotel chain and your site isn't effectively upselling to
more expensive junior suites, then you might ask us to figure out
what you can do to alleviate this situation. Or perhaps you're an
airline with a broken booking engine. Or an e-commerce site that
isn't generating enough income from the long tail.

After 20 hours of investigation, thinking, and discussion, it's
generally possible to provide solid recommendations and suggest a
realistic project roadmap. And if someone can't then I'd love to hear
how they justify their high fees.

Above all else, you have GOT to provide value for money.

The next step, of course, is to get one's hands dirty and carry out
the recommendations. But that's a new budget.

Cheers,
Eric
