[Sigia-l] platforms where digital solutions exist

What i find interesting is that many of the devices listed may be rendered obsolete in the near future(2-5yrs). I've been playing around w/Logitechs new air mouse and the precision is just amazing. Unlike similar products, there is no need to point the device at the screen nor orient it a certain way. I can point the mouse out the window or whatever is most comfortable position and it still tracks flawlessly. Now if this 'air tracking' technology could be combined with multi-touch UIs(eg, iPhone), we will be much closer the scenario we saw in that futuristic Tom Cruise movie w/out the need to precisely maneuver physical objects.

So in the end, picture yourself standing 6-8 feet away from a flat panel disply where you could simply resize, open/close, move objects with simple, intuitive hand gestures.
