I expect soon to be able to give reservation info for a block of rooms I
have reserved at the Fairmont in Vancouver, right across the street form the
Hyatt, which is booked and moving some into higher prices.
There has been some miscommunication about wireless at the Hyatt in
Vancouver. They have a new system installed, which explains the confusion.
There is wireless access in the public areas (the lobby, the meet room
foyers, etc.). But this requires an account ($9.95/day). An account
established in a sleeping room WILL work in the public areas as well, so
only one account per person should be necessary.
And FYI, I looked at getting wireless for meeting attendees in rooms. That
would have cost someplace around $15,000 per day, after buying equipment and
having it installed.
