Then I can name the 4-5 people here who will disagree...without having to
read it. :-)

I've described it here many times as the art and science of balancing the
needs of the client and the user. Hopefully to make a difference. By
hyper-specializing one robs oneself of the ability to make a difference and
thus become a mere implementor...usually of business or technology interests
by default.

Only by demonstrating that we have the mastery of design, technology and
business and that we can integrate it all towards a business goal, can we
ask for and receive the respect, authority and the enumeration that we
deserve.
