Whereas I see it as an opportunity to get "closer" to the client - I know that
the list has done this to death so I won't try to change anyone's mind here.
For myself, any time the client asks for an opinion, I have the opportunity to
help. And the more I help, the happier they are to have me back when they start
another project. It can be "my husband is getting a website built for his
plumbing business, who builds good small sites?" to "What does n-tier
architecture mean?" and "The SI contractor says that our XSL:FO engine won't do
what we want it to, does that sound right?". None of these have anything to do
with design per se, but as to being of service, they are important to me. If I
was on a fixed-price job it would naturally be different :)

Cheers, Andrew
