I didn't make any claims, you did--you claimed a strong causal
connection between "design" and market capitalization using Apple as an
example. Rhetorically speaking the onus is on you to prove your claim,
not on me to disprove it.
Logically all I can show is that your conclusions don't follow from your
propositions--which they don't. In addition to showing the weakness of
your supporting evidence I offered an even more plausible explanation of
Apple's stock performance that doesn't need "design." This further
weakens your case.
That said, I'll still take your challenge...
Corning went from about $8 a share in 1998 to about $110 in 2000
(http://tinyurl.com/cakkd) That's a more dramatic increase in an even
shorter period of time (its also misleading because its out of context
too; but it does demonstrate how misleading market cap quotes can be).
