Looking for a Sr. Information Architect who works to translate
business/marketing/user requirements and practices into functional
requirements for large, media and data-rich, web-based products, tools,
communities and news feeds. You will use your IA disciplines including UI
Design, Usability and Strategy to create user experiences that integrate
into our customer’s work styles and industry philosophy. An understanding of
how UI designs interact with backend data is essential. You should be
equally savvy within business analysis and marketing strategy. We are
seeking a real pro who will contribute to the overall strategic and creative
vision of a very relevant project. 

Define and design user experiences, interaction models, interface, usability
research, workflow, and information architecture as they relate to the
cognitive flow of information.
 

Requirements 
• A strong knowledge of user interface design principles, human factors,
user centered design processes, interaction design guidelines, usability
methodologies, industry standards and trends, platform standards, and
software development. 
• Responsible for developing navigation and interaction methods,
site/content architecture maps and user flow diagrams, detailed wireframes
and specifications that describe page-specific navigation, content and
functionality. 
• Must understand and employ a client-centered approach, have an excellent
track record designing UI for consumer applications 
Conduct competitive product reviews to arrive at best practices baselines
• 3-5 years of agency experience 
• Experience developing branded user experiences, such as portals, online
tools, DM models, News delivery, online public communities, e-commerce.
(work relating to a My Yahoo or My Workspace metaphor is a plus)
• Extensive experience with site map, user flow diagrams and schematic
development 
• Experience with usability testing and heuristic evaluation 
• Experience conducting and/or observing user research and translating user
research into design decision/revisions 
• Strong knowledge of IA tools, specifically: Axure, Omnigraffle, MSVisio,
and MSOffice. Knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XML, Javacript is a plus.
