Yes. I have an account with up to 10 books on my shelf (company paid) and
find it pretty useful. I'm not sure I'd pay for it myself though. 

I tend to use it for looking up code snip-its or how to do something
specific when I'm working on a prototype with html, javascript, css, etc.

I've also been reading or looking up things in Hot Text: Web writing that
works and Content Critical (Gerry McGovern). The site allows you to print
out sections to read as well so you don't have to read it all online.

I allways wondered when would one use the safari bookshelf.
Does anybody use it within the company?

$19.99 per month seems not that attractive to me.
