Yahoo is conventional. Gmail is unconventional. Gmail though is an
attempt to change, not the interface, but the way people use e-mail.
As an avid user of Gmail and also a long time user of Yahoo, Outlook,
Entourage, etc. I feel that this is a touch one to peg. I like the
conventional and the unconventional. I know IBM had their take at
unconventional messaging (e-mail) and there is an open source project
called Zimbra that is sorta a hybrid of the two models. Desktop
application interface + tagging & conversations.
