"Do you have standard sizes and templates for 1024x768 wireframes?"
Though a little dated now, Web Monkey came up with a few useful charts for
determining canvas size for different browser/resolution combinations:

--------------------------
"As screens increase, that doesn't mean that the audiences are running them
at the higher resolutions."
"Audiences that run bigger screens at lower resolutions - academia, age 45+,
or general public over 50..."
Thank you - I couldn't help but think of my mother with her 800 x 600
resolution setting and another relative in her 90's who is still using 640 x
480. So, I'd be cautious that your audience doesn't fall into the 50 or 65+
age range before making the switch to 1024 x 768.
For general demographics, Pew Internet offers some free reports:
http://www.pewinternet.org/trends.asp. According to their latest, 64% of
adults 50-64 and 27% of adults 65 and older use the Internet. These numbers
have increased quite a bit over the last 5 years, so maybe this explains
Yahoo's reversal to 800 x 600.
