Yes, I mean to.
Last year I signed an NDA to look into some of the interface/architecture
aspects of a top travel site for a potential overhaul. It wasn't a pretty
sight. As I mentioned earlier, I've been looking into this industry for a
few years now, and I'm thoroughly under whelmed. If you think Encarta
represents the be all and end all of travel/hospitality industry in all its
potentiality, what can I say?

You seemed to be missing the import of iTMS in its entirety. I invite you to
recall what legal digital music industry was like before iTMS and after. The
iTMS story is not about technology (though how it works and scales are
pretty interesting if you grok that sort of thing), its genius was the
business model, convincing the all the major labels, licensing, DRM
convenience, pricing, credit card payment aggregation, etc. You know, what
we label as the overall user experience.
