I have been saying this for years here: the most important thing about XML
or other MLs is not the language/syntax itself but that two or more parties
have agreed to exchange data. That's the hard part.

We have parsing/extraction/categorization/indexing technologies available.
Not perfect but available. Google continues to prove that pre-categorization
(CVML) is not necessary even for large-scale, general purpose indexing. Yes,
it would be more efficient, but certainly not without a slew of its own
problems either. It's an unnatural act.:-)
