On the other hand, civilized people use a web browser with a modicum of
sense built-in like OmniWeb, wherein you can click open a link into a
graphical tab visually drawn on a fly-open tab drawer *in the background*.
This way you can continue reading, the linked page is loaded ready for you
to skip to if/when you need it and you have graphical tabs to see if the new
page is loaded, what it looks like, worth reading, etc just with a glance. I
read a huge amount of stuff every day with in-line links and I've noticed my
speed of going through such stuff has at least doubled with OmniWeb.
Just sayin'.
