Sorry about the late notice on this.

I'm repeating this popular web session that I've delivered for a number of
organizations including APQC. There is no cost. Just send me a note if
interested and I'll send the dial in information.

Managing Enterprise Taxonomies
Please join me next Wednesday for a 45 minute session exploring approaches
to current and emerging taxo challenges. Feel free to forward this to
interested colleagues
Call in and Webex sign in provided after RSVP.

When: Wednesday January 19th 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM EST (optional
discussion/Q&A from 4:15 to 4:30)

Audience: People responsible for Content, Document and Knowledge Management
projects, meta data and taxonomy issues

Purpose: Review techniques and a specific tool for managing taxonomy and
thesaurus terms and mapping meta data from disparate systems

Topics: The problem of metadata and taxonomies
         Challenges of multiple information architectures
         Resolving multiple facets and polyhierarchies
         Impact analysis
         Collaborative change management

Abstract: Most organizations have more than one system for managing
content. Some firms have dozens of instances of a specific tool that
require synchronization of controlled vocabularies. In some cases,
disparate systems require time consuming updates when taxo terms change.
(Such as when a new product is introduced or if there are organizational
changes). The tool we will review helps companies like Procter and Gamble
and Hewlett Packard manage these challenges and automatically feed updates
to multiple systems and tools while enrolling system owners and stakeholders
in the taxo management process. (Thus helping to resolve conflicting
organizational perspectives.)

I will look forward to connecting with you.
