Fairly long time ago there was a discussion here on apps for forums/boards.
Like anybody else I've used many of them, but I never analyzed them as a
buyer. So what are your recommendations, and things to watch out for?

Rough specs:

Cost doesn't matter

Multi-level access control, per user

Browser-based

Not hosted

OS doesn't matter; not Mac-only

UI needs to be customizable

Database, not flat-file based

Strong monitoring functionality

What else (functionality or usability wise) should be on this list?
