...design is about solving problems. Problems come in all shapes. We don't
reinvent the universe with every new problem. We rethink the solution path
in context.

I thought the framing of the problem as "experiential creativity" was
fundamentally wrong. If we are not being creative in solving *any* problem,
then we're not working hard enough (cf. iPod, Google, etc).

"Best practices" is what SOMEONE ELSE DID. Creativity is what YOU DO.

The ONLY issue in design is: does it solve the problem? Whether it's
experiential, creative, pedestrian, boring, revolutionary, etc., is
immaterial. Does it solve the problem? If we focus on that, the rest comes
very easily.
