[Sigia-l] 2 part registration process

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has come across a good 2 part registration model
lately. Ideally a registration may be initiated in one vehicle, such as
email, and then continued on the website. 

This approach is common on sites that would like to give users as much as
possible up front in order to captivate them, yet still require information
from the user in order to provide targeted content. 

Any thoughts or leads would be greatly appreciated.
