Dwayne:

Thanks! Pages aren't db driven, but the concept of indexing some
commented tag is interesting.

And as always, thanks SIG-IA!

Todd,

I've set up quite a few environments like this, but we were identifying
unique visitors (e.g. a physical mailer with a "reference code" that
was unique for each flyer. We'd cross-reference with a database ->
reference code 9J3RED -> Tom Smith). The principal seems the same.

If the pages are database driven, just add a keyword field and search
on it. Just keep the field fairly short so you can index it to get the
speed it needs.

If you're using flat files, you could still use the db with page
references on it.

If you have an existing search vendor, have them create a commented tag
that they could index.

Tracking would be simple, just trigger an even when a keyword is
entered, set them up in a session and track away.

Let me know if I'm missing something there.

My 2 cents.

Dwayne
