Description - The UI Architect is responsible for user interface
engineering, conceptual design and information architecture of software for
interactive television. This position requires in-depth knowledge of user
interface design principals along with the ability to work with a talented
development team.
The specific responsibilities of a UI Architect are:
Apply user-centered design processes and principles to application design
Create prototypes including UI behaviors, user interaction models,
workflow, and interaction requirements that conform to specified design and
content requirements
Establish, document, maintain and revise functional specifications
Act as a recognized and active resource on user interface design issues
Work with standards and best practices for interface usability and
responding to user testing findings
Review software design
The necessary skills/experience include:
A degree in graphic design, information design, systems design, or a
related area
Experience with HTML, DHTML, and the ability to hand code
Strong understanding of software development processes and resulting
architectures
Proficiency using Visio, PhotoShop, and Dreamweaver
Three to five years of user interface design experience
Experience creating and iteratively refining a user interface design
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
