Excellent point Eric. And to further this example, the reason they do 
this is that people look first for red/white wine, then by region.

So, you could always paper prototype something and test it to see who 
users would perform a task. Or simply try and observe half-a-dozen 
users to see how they perform the task and use this as the default.
