Over the past year I have been part of an in depth evaluation of Endeca -vs- Verity. In the end the base capability was very similar with each having its own strengths. In th end we choose Verity for a set of specific reasons to our implementation.

Parametric, does not need imply single attribute only, semantically maybe. In the implementation from Verity it is not a limitation. Is it a synonym, again I think it depends on implementation, it can be.
