(And just to be contrariwise) - I speak as a person who has had *only*
practice, no formal education in this field - don't 'dis' the value of
your education as a foundation for experience.
All the field work and experience I've gained, personally I feel sits on
shaky ground, because I've learned it piecemeal, not as pieces that fit
into a larger puzzle. It is difficult for me see the larger picture in
the context of well-established knowledge that's gone before me. This
directly affects my confidence and competence. When asked to justify my
claims, it would be nice to be able to say something more than 'well,
that's just my experience'.
