This list has two archives. The archive that is inherent in the mailman
software is not searchable AND it is password protected.

There is also the archive the Lou et al set up that is not password
protected and that is searchable. < Searchable list archive:

ASIS&T recently took over the site for the searchable archives in the sense
that we are paying the domain fee.
My guess is that the searchable archives are what most of you use and that
making it password protected would be a burden AND would reduce awareness
of the IA list. It would also limit access to subscribers, of necessity.
Bearing in mind that I have absolutely no idea how the searchable list would
be password protected, so nothing will or could happen quickly,
QUESTION: Do those on the list want the archives behind a password wall?
