Description:
Argosy Omnimedia, Inc. ("Argosy") is a professional services, enterprise
information technology consulting, custom software development and
integration company. Since the formation of the company in 1997,
Argosy has been engaged by over 20 clients throughout Retail, Finance,
Healthcare, Life Sciences, Chemicals, Entertainment, and Digital Media
to lead or support their enterprise information technology (IT)
initiatives and projects. As a Microsoft Certified Partner and an IBM
Business Partner with Certifications in e-Business and Life Sciences,
Argosy has been building enterprise, Internet-enabled solutions for
clients for over 6 years.
This is a ground level opportunity with equity participation
opportunities for employees (yes, unlike Microsoft, we still have a

This individual must have the educational degree(s) from an accredited
university and experience identified below. This experience must
include primary responsibility for the information design and user
experience of award winning consumer-grade web sites.
This individual will be responsible for the information design and user
experience of the web site layout, navigation, and content. This
individual will will be a key member of the site design team and act as
the "lead consumer advocate" while balancing the needs of the consumer
against limited resources of time and funding. This individual must
have a portfolio of experience as an Information Architecture or User
Experience design roles for e-Commerce sites, transactional sites, web
applications, and software applications. Travel/hospitality industry
experience is a plus and will be weighted heavily in the evaluation.
Position Qualifications Required:
-BA or BS Degree (minimum)
-Formal training in information design and data resource management.
-Performed web site content analysis
-Conducted usability interviews
-Performed competitive analysis of similar sites in same industries
-Perform use case modeling, task flow diagramming, and interaction
design
-Create user functional requirements, analysis and documentation
-Perform user research and usability testing (set up, run, and interpret
results of usability tests)
-Create diagrams of conceptual, site architecture, wireframes/page
schematics, and task flows
-Has a working knowledge of HTML
-Has familiarity and experience in working with web technologies such as
Javascript, dynamic (database driven) sites, CSS, search engines, and
content management systems
-Must have demonstrated successful client management, interface and
communication skills.
-Experience in full life cycle information technology solution
implementation from conceptualization, requirements, design and
specification through development (coding), integration testing and
commissioning.
-Residence in the Greater Washington, D.C. area (Maryland, Virginia, the
District)
-Willing to work at both the client's location in the Metropolitan WDC
area and Argosy's development center in North Bethesda, MD.
-Must be able to start IMMEDIATELY.
