Going to address a tangent of your question.
It took me several reads through your post to understand what this 'Print
Version' button was supposed to do. My confusion lay in the fact that Print
is also a verb, and in the phrase 'Print Version', being on a button, it
implies a command. i.e.: Print something called a 'Version'. I don't know
what a Version is.
Finally I realized that the button means 'take me to a Print Version of this
page'.
I suggest a wording change. 'Printer-friendly version' removes the
adjective/verb confusion.
