Hey all,
Speaking of prototyping tools, I'm just about to play with a novel
concept from the GUIR team at the University of California, Berkeley -
Denim (available as a java app for most platforms). The basic precept
is to take sketches and deliver interactive prototypes.
"Here's how it works: The designer starts by drawing a general map of
the site, which might include the homepage, the main sections leading
off it and the hierarchy of pages in each section.
Then the designer starts sketching individual pages, filling in design
elements like navigation bars. Moving to Denim's storyboard tool, a
thumbnail of each page is presented, allowing the designer to
hyperlink different pages and interface elements by drawing a line
between them. That's it.
Denim's built-in browser allows the site to be tested as though it
were live, or the site can be exported to HTML and posted on the Web,
or sent to a client or usability testing service."

You can find the software at:

It would be good to hear some of your thoughts/feedback on this
application.
