Too often people end IA on the work lifecycle around launch.  These days it doesn't seem to be enough to just say you are an expert, because you can't say that you know their unique audience and how they behave.  It is naive to say otherwise.

BEFORE and AFTER a project, the IA needs to review site analytics to learn about how a site audience reacts to initatives.  Unfortunatly many of the existing tools out there don't go that far.  Once that I have found that has a *huge* set of IA reports is LifeLine by Performance Drivers.

If you know how to optimize your own work *and* be able to quantify the results of you work - you can bet that you will be hired again.
