Exactly!
Way back a long time ago, I did not stop banner ads. And my reasoning
was that "you provide free content and I let you advertise." But when
a publisher went over board by putting ads right in the middle of a
text column to break up my reading, that really irritated me. It was
like the publisher saying, "I am in your face. So what?"
So I installed ad killers. Now I still access content from the very
publisher who publishes in-your-face ads. Of course, none of those ads
reaches me. In effect, that publisher went from charging a huge fee
(in-your-face ads) to now charging nothing (no ad).

I am not familiar with your version of screen graphic. But if it is
like the one that I had seen, it is a sorry failure. The graphic
seemed to appear randomly in the middle of a screen. It was so
annoying that I turned it off.
