I always thought of a PDF as a Digital Brochure. For me a printable
friendly version is one were there is almost no noise around the content
to be printed and no extra effort put upon the printer (?) And when I
thing of a PDF I thing about something richly designed. Although I am
aware that that is not always the case.

> We had a variety of financial reports that needed to be available in
PDF format. But they were also translated to the web, and there was also
a printer-friendly version of the page -- which made it more difficult
to people to grasp the different between that and the PDF.
