Obviously you have never seen UK election results - the amount of "glitz"
associated with displaying a number of votes would leave you baffled.
I used to work to manage the data and developed real time graphics systems
for displaying election results for the BBC and SFDRS (Swiss broadcaster).
Elections leave me with images of 3D graphics, pictures of candidates, pie
charts, swingometers, maps, bar graphs...aaaaarrrrghhhh!
Election results? Dull? Gives me a headache just thinking about it. It's a
whole industry...you would not believe how many ways there are to cross
reference an election result and map this into a graphic.
