I can't resist. At the University of California, Santa Cruz a
long time ago, students from Behavioral Sciences built a
"Centering Maze", a human-sized maze that was designed to
disorient you but to always deliver you to the center as long as
you didn't give up, where you could climb a tower and walk
accross a bridge to get out. You were to learn through the
experience that as long as you kept going everything would be OK.
A distraught undergrad with a wicked sense of humor and under
chemical-assist, hung himself from the tower at the center one
night. I leave it to you what lessons the first visitors the next
morning learned.
