You might be interested in playing with Whiteboard Photo 
<http://www.websterboards.com/products/wbp.html> which does a nice job 
of automatically cleaning up digital camera shots of whiteboards (see 
<http://www.agilemodeling.com/essays/whiteboardModeling.htm> for a 
demo). Nothing you couldn't do with a few minutes work in Photoshop or 
similar - but having a specialised tool does make the process a lot 
smoother.
