So what is recommended is yet another title.
'Interaction Architect'
Here are a few job titles that I have come across in my travels all doing
roughly the same thing.
Information Architect
User Experience Architect
Customer Experience Architect
User Experience Designer
Interactive Designer
Usability Designer
User Interface Designer
Producer
As long as I, as a member of a team, can make the site 'work' I'm happy. I
think it's a matter of a title that others you work with are happy with.
Those people called Information Architects rarely do the same job - partly
to do with the changing nature of companies, partly to do with the changing
nature of projects. I think too much time is spent exploring the navel of
what it is to be an information architect and not enough sharing practical
tips on designing the best interactive systems.
Incidentally my degree is in interactive system design. So I could call
myself an Interactive System Designer. But would be confusing things.
