[Sigia-l] Dublin Core and meta-tag length

I have been working a lot with Dublin Core, which was created primarily for
extremely basic information discovery. One of its primary ideas is that you
could search for e.g. "white" as a name and not as a title.

One of its problems is that it has yet to settle down and is still changing
its coding practices. Although there have been many projects based on Dublin
Core, I still haven't seen any brilliant successes as yet and, as others
have pointed out, for it to work at all, you need a search engine that
actually works with the Dublin Core and besides, so many people have misused
the meta tags anyway that search engines ignore them.
