One reason experienced users might be so enamored with the logo as a link 
to the Home page is the size of the link. Most text links being rather 
small, a logo offers a target that is much easier to mouse to and click. So 
even if a site offers a text logo link, it makes sense that users familiar 
with the linked-logo convention continue to click on the logo to get "home."
